When I first sat to work out how I could make something truly artistic with my laser cutters, I made these sandwich rings.
They are delicate, all made with beechwood, and the bands and striping between the wood slices are all randomly selected.
Some feature mica powders, others feature bands of color that glow in the dark because my inner 5 year old will never outgrow the love of photo luminescent pigments. And what better way to celebrate having an alive and well inner child than to let it play in a grown up way?
Shipped randomly for color (but please identify your size!) and simply packaged.
These rings are stronger than a traditionally lathed wooden ring as the grain is crossed between the layers and are coated with resin upon completion to finish them with a high gloss.
The interior of the rings has been left raw wood and is sealed with a butchers block wax. This is to allow your skin below the ring to breathe.
As always, if you have a preference in stripe color, let me know and I will do my best to oblige!
